Abstract

|
The effect of the addition of the white powder separated from Sogi ( Gyrophora esculenta)by the extraction methods with ethanol and acetone was checked by the feeding experiment in rats fed with a high cholesterol diet.
From this experiment, it was confirmed that this material, which was assumed to be the mixture of gyrophoric acid and the decomposition products, could lower both liver and plasma cholesterol levels.
